I first considered the possibility of purchasing a robotic lawnmower, several years ago, and I undertook a great deal of research but I was concerned about the earlier RTK technology, (RTK was the latest tech at the time ), and my concerns were substantiated by a large number of various negative reviews primarily due to the various robotic lawnmowers losing their respective positions due to a loss of signal from their base stations.
Fast forward three years, (or so), and I recently took a further look at the very latest robotic lawnmower offerings and it was interesting to note that LIDAR is now the latest buzzword, (with regards to the latest 'spacial mapping' technology), and that the various reviews were far more favourable with regards to less 'positioning errors' when compared to the RTK systems - especially so in gardens that have numerous trees and buildings that can interfere with the RTK signal.
There were two contenders in my final shortlist and both were LIDAR equipped and from the many reports that I read, just a few weeks ago, this was the ideal technology for my particular garden as I have numerous trees and outbuildings too.
I read every review that I could find, (with regards to the two robotic mowers that I was interested in), and the Mamotion Yuka Mini 2 1000 definitely received better reviews than my second choice - so I 'bit the bullet' and ordered one direct from Mamotion UK.
The mower arrived within two days of my placing the order, (which was a pleasant surprise), and it did not take me long to unbox the Yuka, find a suitable and sheltered location for the charger base and undertake a quick 'drive' around the perimeter of my rear lawn.
As I wanted to see how it performed I did not even map any 'no go' areas, (I have several including two garden table and chair sets and a pagola), and I was very impressed with the way the Yuka navigated around the lawn and avoided hitting any of the obstacles whilst cutting as close to each obstacle as was possible.
The Yuka had to return to the charging station, once, before it headed back out to finish cutting my lawn and I was very impressed with the initial outing!
The Yuka has now undertaken several subsequent cuts, (as per a simple schedule I had set up), and my lawn has not looked so neat for a very long time and I feel that my investment is definitely money well spent.
In conclusion I would heartily recommend the Yuka Mini 2 1000 to anybody considering a robotic mower for a medium sized lawn and I have been extremely impressed with both the LIDAR and the camera technology used by this device.
I can only think of one negative comment and that relates to the fact that the Yuka 1000 does NOT come with the 4G module as standard and I had to pay an additional £99 for the module.
This would not be a problem in a garden that has good WiFi coverage but I have so many obstacles there are areas where my WiFi will not reach.
You require a good connection to monitor and program the Yuka and this could be a bit 'hit and miss' via WiFi but once the 4G module was inserted I obtained a full and reliable connection and I can now monitor and control it from anywhere in the world - as long as I have a 4G connection for my phone!
The mower is fantastic, when you work out how to programme it. I find that useing the app is not intuitive. More printed instructions would be helpful.
Very impressed with the Luba mini 2 awd. Easy to set up and is doing a great job with the lawn.

How little I knew about managing lawns when I bought my house 6 years ago. 800sq meters is a lot to handle for mere mortals, at least without professional help. This little bot has been life changing, instead of dreading going out on the sit-on, dealing with waste, weeding, etc. I just let the little fella take care of business. One of the best investments I’ve ever made. I did try and earlier generation robot mower a few years ago but dealing with wires, boundaries and connections between lawns was really painful. This new AI generation is first class. Highly recommend.
Set it up incorrectly- my bad - but once I realised my error its being first class.
Love the fact that it cuts on slope and never misses a beat. Great investment so far. 👏
Picks up everything
We love our new mower! The grass has never looked so healthy and it's so simple to set up and use.

Very impressed cleanly the whole pool really well. Our pool is 30 x 15 ft and 9ft deep… It does a really good job with leaves and tiny particles and the bottom of our pool has not looked this clean in years. A quality solid product, easy to use with either the APP or directly on the robot control panel. I did a lot of research and am so pleased I opted for the SPINO. Mammotion make great robotic lawn mowers but obviously less market for pool cleaners so felt compelled to get a personal review out. Do not hesitate to look at the SPINO. Quick and easy delivery too.
The MAMMOTION YUKA Mini 2 1000 has been one of the best purchases I've made for the garden. It's incredibly easy to set up, navigates accurately, and leaves the lawn looking freshly cut every day with virtually no effort from me. The build quality and technology are genuinely impressive, and it handles the job far better than I expected. It's saved me a huge amount of time and keeps the lawn looking immaculate. Money very well spent – I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable robotic mower.

It works well once you understand the App. The App is not at all intuitive and lacks an easy to understand introduction. However once you have mastered the mapping and scheduling it works really well.
